At Gentex, we developed our internship program specifically to address this hurdle. Each year, we hire a new group of interns, and if you're among them, you'll get the hands- and brains-on experience that will help you hone critical-thinking skills, build up your leadership experience, and get a taste of what engineering looks like in the "real world."
When you graduate, you'll have the potential to be at the front of our list of possible hires, and you'll already have contacts within our company. Even if you choose to work elsewhere, you'll have developed the skills and experiences that will help you lock in your future job.
Real-world Work Experience
Gentex has more than 3,000 employees, so making our interns brew the coffee isn't really that realistic. Here's what our interns do instead:
