Smoke Detectors

8240 24VDC Open Area Detector
|
Used primarily in open areas such as hallways and lobbies and are generally connected to the fire alarm control panel via an alarm relay. One detector per 30'x30' area. The "Y" version is also used as a room detector in occupancies such as hotels, motels and military barracks. The "Y" version indicates that the piezo is self restoring, meaning that when the smoke clears the detector will automatically restore itself to its original condition.

8100 120 VAC System Detector

Used exclusively for elevator capture or door closure. Detectors are connected to the elevator controls or magnetic door closers. When smoke is sensed, the detector closes its relay and the elevator is taken to the first floor, or the magnetic door closer releases or closes the door.
